みなさんこんばんは。昨日の中秋の名月はご覧になりましたか？
今夜は立待ち月ですね。たまにはゆっくり空を見上げるのもいかがでしょうか。

さて、ということで今回は、Darren Crissの"Good Ol' Moon"を訳しました。
最初、"Ol'"ってなんのことだかわからなかったんですけど、"Old"の短縮形なんですね。
"Good Ol' Moon"で「古き良き月」って感じでしょうか？

太陽と月は同じ空で会うことはできないって曲かなーと思います。
youもheも月を指しているのかなと思って訳しましたけれど、どうなんでしょうね。
自信があるわけではないです（汗
一般的にはmoonはsheを使うと聞きますし・・・

と弱気な発言をしてしまいましたが
この曲の雰囲気は軽やかですごく好きです。ぜひご覧ください。

I'll pick up the comics and sympathize with Linus
and the z's that Dagwood leaves behind.
As for me, I wouldn't mind just to join him along.
I mean, just look at these two pictures can you tell me what's wrong.

おまけ

歌詞の中に出てくるLinusは、おそらくあのSnoopyに出てくるLinusですが、
Dagwoodとはどなた？ということで調べてみました。

Dagwood Bumstead（ダグウッド・バムステッド）。
Chic Young作ロングランの新聞漫画"Blondie"のメインキャラクターだそうです。
彼は、Blondie Boopadoop（ブロンディ・ブーパドゥープ）と結婚し、
AlexanderとCookieという2人の子供に恵まれました。

左から
Dagwood, Blondie, Alexander, Cookie です。
ちなみに犬の名前はDaisy。

彼の好きなものは、家族、ソファーでうとうとすること、
広々としたお風呂、それから食べ物だそうです。

背が高くて具だくさんのサンドウィッチで有名なキャラクター。
眠れなくなると、台所まで降りて冷蔵庫にある残り物で作っちゃうそうです。

すごいボリュームですね！
