みなさんご機嫌いかがですか？私はなかなかエンジンのかからない日々を送っています。
お盆休みなどとっくに終わったのに・・・引きずりすぎです（笑
ということで、今回は映画"Hairspray"より"You Can't Stop the Beat"を訳しました。
私のビートももうちょっとアップテンポにいかないと。
Tracyかわいいですよね。
太っててもかわいい人ってあれですね。二重あごないですよね。
二重あごできる人とできない人って何が違うんだろう・・・？

私が全然覚えてなかったので（汗
左から順番に行きたいと思います。役名 (役者さん) て感じです。

何が言いたいかというと、歌詞の中に
And if they try to stop us, Seaweed, I'll call the N double A C P
というところがあるんですけど、ここで出てくるSeaweedっていうのは
海藻じゃなくてPennyが恋したSeaweedくんですよーってことだけ。
最初、私がわけわかんなくなってただけなんですけど（笑
おまけ2
次に、歌詞中に出てくる謎の言葉"N double ACP"について。
これは"National Association for the Advancement of Colored People"の
頭文字をとったNAACPのことです。
実際に声に出して読むときには"N double ACP"と言うみたいです。
日本語になおすと、「全米黒人地位向上協会」または「全国有色人種向上協会」となるそう。
1909年に設立した、アメリカ合衆国で最も古い公民権運動組織の一つです。
本部はメリーランド州ボルチモアにございます。
数ある活動の中で、1つご紹介したいのがNAACPイメージ・アワードです。
毎年春に開催されています。
ちなみに今年は
例えばOutstanding Motion Picture（作品賞）だと"12 Years a Slave"が受賞しています。
邦題は「それでも夜は明ける」で、アカデミー賞でも話題になりましたね。たぶん。
残念ながら私は見ていないのですよね・・・
そして、"Hairspray"も受賞こそしませんでしたが、
2007年にQueen Latifah（クイーン・ラティファ）が助演女優賞にノミネートされていました。
おまけ3
最後に、Gleeの"You Can't Stop the Beat"をご紹介します。
シーズン3の第1話で歌われてました。
たしか、ピアノが燃えたりしてた回です。
Quinnがちょっといい子やめちゃってたり。
そんな中でも立ち止まったりしませんよってことでしょうか。
Rachel のソロで始まるこのアレンジすごく好きです。
オーディトリアムではみんなノリノリですね。ではご覧ください。
ちなみにですけど、Will Schuester先生を演じているMatthew Morrisonは
2002年8月15日初演ブロードウェイ版のオリジナルキャストらしいです。
Linkを演じていたそうですよ。
